New Lab Member Gabriel Schneider
Gabriel comes to the lab with a background in creative writing and Indigenous liberal studies from the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA). He is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation and founder of Cherokee Language Learners of the Three Tribes. This organization provides a platform for classes led by fluent-speaking elders, and aims to preserve and pass on the cultural language tradition of the Cherokee people. The Drake Lab is excited to have Gabriel contribute to Drake Lab publications, provide support on CEID projects, and offer guidance on the behind-the-scenes technical work.
